BATTLE CREEK - Although there were many different faces lining up in starting spots for the Beavers in this season opener compared to last year's season opener, it was a similar result for the Harper Creek football team.

With nearly a completely new starting lineup on offense, Harper Creek beat Lakeview 42-0 at home on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Harper Creek opened the season with a bunch of players who waited their turn a year ago in a season that saw the Beavers go 8-1 on the regular season and win a league title.

One of the new faces was Camari Hampton, who was a role player a year ago, but showed he was ready to be one of the key offensive threats for this team this year with two touchdowns.
