WASHINGTON — D.C. area unions and labor supporters gathered at Dupont Circle Thursday to protest the Trump administration’s record among workers and the federal surge in the nation’s capital.

Organizers cited administration maneuvers that have led to the District being stricken with one of the highest unemployment rates in the country in the wake of mass firings by Doge.

In addition, they referred to Trump’s plans to peel away the collective bargaining rights of workers in the District.

Organizers also referenced the Federal surge in D.C., which has featured National Guard units joining a swell of Federal agents, to contain crime that the president compared to some of the worst cities in the world.
