Missouri football quarterback Sam Horn was spotted on the sidelines of Memorial Stadium on crutches and in a full leg cast after sustaining an injury on his first play of the season. The injury appears to be to his right leg.

A Mizzou spokesperson confirmed to the Tribune soon after that he is out for the game.

"First off, my heart goes out to Sam. I mean, what a great competitor, I'm disappointed for him," MU coach Eli Drinkwitz told SEC Network's Lauren Sisler after the third quarter. "Obviously, Beau has played a very good game, very efficient, takes care of the football. So it's been exciting to watch, but there's a part of you that's sick."
