The architect behind the Broncos’ roster is confident about their chances in 2025.

General manager George Paton answered a variety of questions in a Thursday teleconference call with reporters. While his public expectations fell short of coach Sean Payton’s Super Bowl talk , he expressed similar views when asked if Denver has a playoff-caliber team this season.

“We like the depth of this roster. I think you could see that depth throughout the preseason. We extended leads with our second and third phase,” Paton said. “How talented this roster is? We’ll see. Last year we were the 31st roster in the league ( according to ESPN ), and we didn’t believe that. ... We feel we’re strong in the trenches. We feel like we have a franchise quarterback.
