STILLWATER — The starting quarterback went out for the game before the first quarter ended. The backup quarterback took a bit to get going. And the run game never seemed to really click.

But a win is a win — especially after a 348-day dry spell.

After ending last year on a nine-game losing streak, Oklahoma State defeated UT Martin 27-7 in the season opener Thursday night at Boone Pickens Stadium .
