GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Country Eggs LLC has issued a recall of their large brown cage free “Sunshine Yolk” eggs after 95 people from 14 states have gotten sick from the same strain of Salmonella.
The recall was issued on Wednesday. The eggs were distributed in California and Nevada and have sell-by dates ranging from July 1 to Sep. 18.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 18 people have been hospitalized. Two people from North Carolina and one from Georgia reported feeling sick.
Anyone who bought the eggs is asked to return to the store or throw them away.
