The Pueblo South Colts football team had its season opener against Mead on Thursday night at home at Dutch Clark Stadium.

The team came in with high expectations as it was a rematch of the first round of the playoffs last year, which saw Mead come away with a victory. The Colts were hoping to change the tide this time around.

Unfortunately for Pueblo South, it could not get established early on and fell behind quickly, 14-0 in the first quarter. The Colts were down 28-0 at halftime, and midway through the third quarter, they were down 42-0, which started a running clock.

The game ended with the same score, and Mead would walk away with another victory over the Colts.
