Thunderclouds are moving across southern British Columbia as the province experiences persistent hot and dry weather.

These weather conditions could potentially lead to more wildfire ignitions.

The BC Wildfire Service reports that central and northern regions continue to face high temperatures, with wildfires in both B.C. and neighboring areas contributing to the hazy atmosphere.

The Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation alert, affecting over 5,500 hectares of land west of Quesnel due to an uncontrolled wildfire near Tsetzi Lake.

Currently, one structure is at risk.
