MAMMOTH CAVE, KY.- Mammoth Cave National Park is inviting visitors to celebrate Bat Day this Saturday.

The annual event focuses on educating the public about various bat species and their vital role in nature. From controlling insect populations to pollinating plants, bats are key players in the ecosystem.

Park spokesperson Molly Schroer explains the event has grown over the years: “ It used to be called Bat Night, but we’ve jammed in so many presentations and activities about bats that we’ve turned it into that day.”
