A box truck driver who had no license plate was arrested in the hit-and-run death of an off-duty NYPD cop riding his motorcycle home from work, cops said.
Carlos Almanzar Toribio, 30, was arrested hours after the fiery crash that threw the cop from his bike on the westbound Brooklyn-Queens Expressway near Atlantic around 8:30 a.m., authorities said.
Detectives reviewed video from the scene that helped them identify the box truck, and Toribio was cuffed around 7:30 p.m., police said. 3

The Washington Heights resident, who has no prior arrests, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving without a license plate, police said.
