DERBY, Kan. (KSNW) - It was an opportunity that seemed impossible, until a team's head coach made a life-changing phone call. In tonight's Competitive Drive, KSN found out how Derby football coach Todd Benway finally realized his dream of sharing the sideline with his son Dax.

The unbreakable bond the Benways share is centered on the sport of football.

Todd and Dax will put on the headsets for the Derby Panthers this season, as the father-and-son duo will share the sidelines for the first time as coaches. Todd enters his second season coaching the safeties, while Dax enters his first coaching the outside linebackers.

The two will work closely together on the same side of the ball, and for Dax, it's a chance to spend more time with his dad.
