Rei Pictures , one of Argentina’s most international-facing production companies, is launching a major expansion that includes new offices in Spain and Mexico and a push into TV, talent management and production services.
Rei Pictures, which is behind Lucrecia Martel ’s Venice world premiere “Landmarks” (“Nuestra tierra”) and her historical drama “Zama,” also produced 2024 Venice competition entry “Kill the Jockey,” Cannes winner “The Settlers” and Sundance winner “Queen of Fear.”
To fuel its expansion, Rei has partnered with major commercials, film and TV company Primo Content , which has outposts in Argentina, Brazil, México, Spain and the U.S. Primo produced Gastón Solnicki’s “The Souffleur,” which is playing out of competition in Venice this year.
