Manny Diaz called it a "nervy start" for Duke football vs. Elon.

The Blue Devils themselves tied 10-all with Elon at halftime following a sloppy start that included a missed field goal on its first possession, a dropped touchdown pass and a fumble in the red zone.

So what did Diaz tell his team to make it come out and outscore Elon 35-7 across the final two quarters as Duke climbed to 45-17 victory? The second-year coach kept it simple.

"What we almost always talk about at halftime no matter what the score is, we said its 0-0," Diaz said following the game.
