WEST BLOCTON, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Authorities confirm a student at West Blocton Middle School died early Thursday morning, Aug. 28, after a shooting.

Police responded to a residence on Hickory Street to investigate.

Officials in West Blocton said the investigation has now been turned over to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
