Nolan Grove, 15, who shot his friend Kain Heiland in the back in 2023, will spend his young adult life in prison, he learned Thursday when a judge sentenced him to 16 to 32 years in prison.
Judge Maria Cook sentenced the teen to 15 to 30 years in state prison for third-degree murder and one to two years in state prison for reckless endangerment. The terms will run consecutively.
