Officers with the California Highway Patrol are in pursuit of a driver suspected of being intoxicated that was initiated by deputies with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department Thursday night.

The driver, who had their lights blacked out, was driving in southbound lanes of the 118 Freeway before exiting at Century. The suspect crashed, exited the vehicle and immediately entered the passenger side of a white sedan as the pursuit continued.

L.A. police joined the pursuit of the second vehicle as hit high speeds on surface streets on Western Avenue.
