The Southside Panthers dominated the Selma Saints 44-0 Thursday night in the Queen City rivalry game, which was moved up a day due to weather concerns.

The Saints appeared to strike first in the opening quarter when Bryan Shears intercepted a Panthers pass near the end zone. However, Southside quickly responded when LeMarcus Millhouse tackled a Saints player in the end zone for a safety. The Panthers carried a 2-0 lead heading into the second quarter.

Southside later extended its advantage when Cerdrick Simmons intercepted a Saints pass. Though Simmons dropped the ball on his return attempt, Millhouse recovered the fumble for a Panthers touchdown.

Later in the second quarter, eighth-grade quarterback Kole Moody connected with Simmons on a deep pass for another Panthers score.
