Rarely-seen Civil War Era flag to be breifly viewable in Warsaw

WARSAW — A large hand-sewn flag with 34 stars and 13 stripes was created in the 1860s in Wyoming County.

Created at the dawn of the Civil War, the flag has been preserved for decades — but very rarely seen in the modern era. The public will get a chance to view the flag Saturday during a brief display at the Wyoming County Ag and Business Center.
