A woman whose great-grandfather served as chef to King Edward VII and Queen Victoria left an expert stunned on Antiques Roadshow after bringing along some Russian jewellery to the popular TV show. ‌

The guest revealed her ancestor was a celebrated chef who had been headhunted by the monarch after previously working for the Rothschilds, and had received jewellery gifts from various heads of state throughout his distinguished career. ‌

The woman presented just a portion of the collection, which included a pair of gold cufflinks decorated with diamonds and rubies. ‌

The distinctive cufflinks resembled rough nuggets whilst still displaying remarkable beauty.
