GOODWIN — The Goodwin Merchants recently won the Northeast Area Women's Softball League Tournament on their home field.

The Goodwin team beat Viessman’s of Canby, MN 8-6, Bruce 18-0 and Gary 26-17 on the tourney's opening day and White 17-15 in the unbeaten game the next day before rain washed out the rest of the tourney.
