SCHUYLERVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 2024 football season was one that will be remembered at Schuylerville for years to come. The Black Horses took down undefeated Salamanca - the top-ranked Class C team in the state - to claim the program's first-ever state championship. It was a moment that still seems surreal to the player's who experienced it.

"It was definitely crazy. I still don't think it has set in yet," said sophomore running back and defensive back Ernie Dacosta. "But that's in the past; we gotta focus on what's coming up now."

Clearly, this year's Schuylerville squad is not resting on their laurels.
