New York Daily News | Gary Phillips: Ryan Yarbrough appears poised to return, perhaps as soon as when rosters expand next week. The veteran lefty was a boon to the Yankees’ pitching depth earlier this year, chipping in a 3.90 ERA in 55.1 innings as the club dealt with injuries. Yarbrough himself was felled by an oblique injury, but has been rehabbing with Triple-A Scranton and has allowed five earned runs over 12.1 innings. Though he’s worked as a starter while on rehab, he could serve as something of a long-man/swingman, with the Yankee rotation currently full.
