State Attorney General elaborates on alleged journalist attackers’ arrest
During a news conference led here on Wednesday by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda in Tijuana, Baja California, the state's attorney general, María Elena Andrade Ramírez, provided an update on the investigation into a recent assault on a journalist in Mexicali. The attorney general confirmed that authorities have arrested two suspects, one of whom is a local police officer.
Andrade Ramírez stated that since the assault, the victim has been in direct communication with the State Investigation Agency, which is providing protection and security.
