The city of Akron has extended the deadline for interested developers to submit their proposals to purchase and redevelop the former Akron Public Schools headquarters building.

The deadline for proposals for the 70 N. Broadway building is now Sept. 18, city spokeswoman Stephanie Marsh said via email.

Developers can enter and view the property prior to submitting final proposals, Marsh said. Developers who are interested in the tour should sign up by emailing development@akronohio.gov before Sept. 3. City officials will provide the open house date and time to developers who register.
