PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority’s board of directors has approved a new budget proposal amid an ongoing budget deficit.
The new plan will avoid completely eliminating any routes but there could be reductions to Sunday and holiday services.
That’s according to a statement from CEO Christopher Durand and Governor Dan McKee, who both proposed the plan days ago .
The changes are expected to start on Saturday, September 27.
