It must be obvious to those paying attention that the Trump administration will continue to station National Guard and federal troops in some major cities supposedly to bring crime under control. Chicago is next to be followed by Baltimore. Having taken over the policing of Washington, D.C., the president believes he is doing the right thing. This in the face of data showing a significant decrease in crime over the past year in the nation’s capital.The president says this is not so. Who to believe? Could the data from the Washington police be true? Maybe. Could the president be right. Probably not.
