Perth locals will have a chance to shop for cheaper home appliances this week amid the cost-of-living crisis.

Australian auction house Lloyd’s has announced a series of 11 auctions across the nation, offering $12 million worth of appliances starting at $1 each — with their Perth auction launching yesterday.

Ovens, dishwashers, and range hoods are among the items on offer to auction-goers, offered to attendees for a minimum of 80 per cent off retail price.

One brand new DeLonghi oven retails for $3600 from a typical white goods store — the Perth auction offers the same oven new in packaging for only $47.

“Everything is brand new, completely unreserved, and starts at just $1 — so we’re sure every appliance will sell,” Lloyd’s chief operations officer Lee Hames told PerthNow .
