NEW YORK (PIX11) -- If you're planning to celebrate your Labor Day outdoors, there will be plenty of sunshine to enjoy, forecasters from the National Weather Service say.

Labor Day is expected to be mostly sunny and dry with comfortable temperatures between 76 and 79 degrees, NWS meteorologists report.

Leading up to Monday, the weekend is also expected to bring a lot of sun, making for ideal conditions for outdoor adventures and grilling, forecasters say.

If you're looking for ways to enjoy the finale of summer, the West Indian Day parade kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Brooklyn Museum. The parade is free to watch along the route and will also air on PIX11, PIX11.com, and PIX11+.
