KETV anchor Rob McCartney (pictured left) is retiring at the end of 2025 after 40 years in local TV.

“Forty years goes by in a flash. It’s been my unbelievable honor to be able to bring you some of the most relevant and critical stories during that time,” McCartney said. “I’m humbled that you have trusted me all these years.”

McCartney is the longest-tenured news anchor in KETV history. He’s been at the Omaha, Nebraska ABC affiliate since 1984.

“Rob is the consummate journalist,” said KETV president and general manager Allison Smith . “He is constantly asking questions and looking for stories that need to be told. He truly cares about Omaha and our community.”
