A predatory Metropolitan Police Special Constable has been found guilty of raping a 12-year-old child. Gwyn Samuels, formerly known as James Bubb, was convicted of multiple sex offences following a trial at at Aylesbury Crown Court.
The 27-year-old raped and abused the victim over a period of years across London and Chesham. Police say the victim was 12 when the offences started.
The defendant raped a second victim, who was 18 when the attacks started, over a period of five years from 2018 until 2023. When the victims reported the offences to the police, they stated they had been committed by a man that they knew as James Bubb. At the time of offences they identified as a male called James Bubb, but during the investigation changed their name to Gwyn Samuels and now self-identifies as a
