Racing has been left rocked by the news of the death of this year's 2,000 Guineas winner Ruling Court .
On Friday, Godolphin announced that Ruling Court had been put down following complications due to laminitis, an inflammation of the soft tissue in a horse's hoof which can make the pedal bone unstable and cause extreme pain.
A statement revealed: "The impressive winner of this year's G1 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket has sadly been euthanised following complications due to laminitis.
"His Classic win was par
