Labor Day weekend is here and as you can imagine many people, will hit the road or take flights to celebrate.

The best time to get your road trip started is any time before 12 p.m. Friday.

Maranda Harterson and her husband drove to Florida from Texas for a family reunion. They got their Labor Day traveling started very early by leaving on Monday and making a pitstop to visit family in South Carolina.

“We are headed to Cape Canaveral,” Harterson said. “We are going to get on the Glory Cruise for a family reunion in Florida. So far, the roads have been excellent. I have enjoyed it. We just had a little bit of rain, but other than that, everything was perfect. It was calm. Not too much traffic. It was just wonderful.”
