Veteran Democratic strategist Mark Penn encouraged Democrats to work with President Donald Trump and Republicans on crime. Penn said on "FOX & Friends" on Wednesday that Democrats are acting like there will be a backlash for reducing murders.

BRIAN KILMEADE, 'FOX & FRIENDS' CO-HOST: So let's look at the results in D.C. so far over the last two weeks. Over 1,000 arrests, 115 illegal guns seized, eight known gang members scooped up, two missing children recovered, 49 encampments cleared. Just walk by Union Station, they're just not there anymore.

So, you're saying, look at these results, but yet the Democratic leaders, Pritzker, that ridiculous mayor, and of course Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, Governor Hochul here, we don't want the help. Crime is fine.
