Nebraska kicked off its 2025 college football season with a 20-17 win over Cincinnati... and some irking the ire of Swifties.

As you may know, ex-Cincinnati star Travis Kelce attended the game at Arrowhead Stadium with his fianceé Taylor Swift. They looked like they were enjoying themselves, they became a meme, and we got our first look at her engagement ring in public. Fun night for all, except maybe Bearcats fans.

Anyway, after the win, Nebraska's X (formerly Twitter) account posted a victory tweet that subbed Kelce for the mascot Herbie Husker in Swift's engagement photos from Instagram. And not too long after that, with Swifties furiously rallying online, the tweet was apparently deleted:

There are times when college football on social media can get weird and nasty, right? Did Nebraska go too far here? This deleted tweet has ignited a debate of sorts over that.

Swift fans were MAD about the Nebraska tweet
