Each week, KETV NewsWatch 7 showcases an animal up for adoption at the Nebraska Humane Society.

This Julie Cornell may not be sitting behind the news desk at KETV (yet?!), but she would make an awesome addition to your home.

This 1-year-old is as soft as she is sweet. She can be a little bit timid, but once she opens up, she's a total lovebug. She did great in the NHS playgroup with other shelter dogs and is really starting to come out of her shell.

She has just the right amount of energy — enough that she'll still want walks and to play, but she's also going to love snuggling up on the couch.

Like all adult dogs 25-plus pounds, Julie Cornell's adoption fee is waived at the Nebraska Humane Society through Sunday. She may not work for HEARST, but she sure does have a lot
