LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man has been charged in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Lexington.
According to a criminal complaint, Lexington police were called to UK Hospital in June after the teen reported being sexually assaulted multiple times by several individuals.
Police say the girl consented to a forensic exam, and the evidence was submitted to the Kentucky State Police Laboratory.
In August, investigators received a DNA match linking 26-year-old Statrik Marshall-Walker of Shelbyville to the case.
Walker is now charged with first-degree rape based on the DNA results and additional evidence reviewed by police.
