Tate Ratledge will make his NFL debut at right guard when the Detroit Lions open the 2025 season against the Green Bay Packers next week, but the rookie offensive lineman's future might be at a different position.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes said in his annual preseason news conference he still views Ratledge as the Lions' potential long-term successor to Frank Ragnow at center.
