MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley, a member of the court's conservative minority, will not run for reelection next year.
In a statement Friday, Justice Bradley said conservatives needed to address why they've come up short in recent elections. Conservative candidates have lost in the last three state Supreme Court elections.
" The conservative movement needs to take stock of its failures, identify the problem, and fix it," Bradley said. " I will not seek reelection to the Wisconsin Supreme Court because I believe the best path for me to rebuild the conservative movement and fight for liberty is not as a minority member of the Court."
