Soulfly, led by the legendary Max Cavalera, have announced a new album titled Chama. The metal band’s 13th LP will arrive on October 24th, and features the just-released single “Storm the Gates” (listen below).

The band’s current lineup is a family affair, with Max joined by sons Igor Amadeus Cavalera (bass) and Zyon Cavalera (drums), along with guitarist Mike De Leon.

Speaking about the album, Max stated, “ Chama is the Brazilian word for flame. It also means a ‘calling’. Respect to Alex Pereira for usjng Itsari on his UFC walkouts. Chama is inspired by the energy of this moment. This record is the sound of Soulfly’s fire! I cannot wait to play these songs live for the Tribe! Chama !”
