He’s going back to his roots.

Fresh off of finishing his eight-season stint starring on “Outlander,” Sam Heughan will star as Macbeth onstage in London for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

“We start rehearsing next week. Hence my dodgy beard and hair ,” Heughan, 45, exclusively told The Post.

The play runs Oct. 9 through Dec. 6. 7

“I’m very excited to be doing ‘Macbeth’ at the RSC, Stratford-upon-Avon and the birthplace of Shakespeare. And it’s going to be an amazing journey, really full circle for me. It’s where I started, in theater,” he said, referring to his career before he rose to fame when “Outlander” premiered in 2014.
