A local company is once again pledging its support to a food bank in Lethbridge.
Mikado Electric has pledged $100,000 in support of the Interfaith Food Bank over the next five years.
Owner Mike Mikado says he felt it was a great opportunity to help out the most people in the community.
“We did one five years ago, and we’re having our 20th anniversary, so we figured we would renew the commitment. The community’s been very supportive of us, so we figured this is the best way to reciprocate,” says Mikado.
Instead of making a direct financial contribution, Mikado says he will seek out the best deals for food and periodically bring items into the food bank.
