A Miami Hurricanes linebacker was arrested Friday in connection to a crash in Largo that killed a woman and two children.

Adarius Hayes, 20, turned himself in to face vehicular homicide and reckless driving charges in connection to the May 10 crash that killed Gail Price, 78, Jabari Elijah Solomon, 10, and Charlie Herbert Solomon Riveria, the Largo Police Department announced in a news release.

Hayes was maneuvering a Dodge Durango aggressively through traffic on Ridge Road and reached speeds of nearly 79 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone shortly before slamming into the side of Price’s Kia Soul as she tried to make a left turn onto Orange View Drive, police said.
