PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The suspect in a deadly shooting of a man in Portland's Overlook neighborhood has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in San Francisco, authorities said.
Police said 41-year-old Philip E. Redmon was originally found shot to death inside the Portland Super Value Inn on North Interstate Avenue the night of Aug. 11.
A medical examiner determined Redmon had died of homicide by gunshot wound.
On Tuesday, police said the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested 38-year-old Andy J. Wright in San Francisco, where authorities say he is awaiting extradition.
Wright is currently lodged in a California jail on charges of second-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
