TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - As Labor Day weekend kicks off, Arizona State Parks officials are urging campers and hikers to take precautions while enjoying the outdoors, especially with the lingering summer heat.
At Catalina State Park, rangers say the high temperatures make it dangerous to spend extended periods of time outside.
“This is not the time of year. These are not the temperatures to try to test your endurance or push your fitness,” said George Graham, senior ranger and assistant park manager at Catalina State Park. “It’s really important that you listen to your body and pay attention to the weather.”
