ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Police are saying that two people who were found dead in the Central West End in March was a murder-suicide.

On Friday, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said that a case from late March has been ruled as a murder-suicide.

Initially, police were called to the 4000 block of Laclede on March 28 for a call for a shooting , where they found a man and a woman dead.

On Wednesday, SLMPD’s homicide unit received an autopsy report listing the man’s death as “homicidal asphyxia,” and the woman’s as a gunshot wound under her chin, ruling her death a suicide.

The man has been identified as Daniel Hults, 46, and the woman as Kathleen Hults, 73.

Both lived in the apartment where they were found, according to police.
