WATERFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The largest publicly-accessible gathering of tugboats is returning to Waterford for the first weekend of September. Waterford's Tugboat Roundup will take over the Erie Canal from Battery Park to Lock E-2 from September 5 to 7.

The festival kicks off with a tugboat parade that starts in Albany at 3:30 p.m. The procession, featuring local tugboats and vessels from other ports around the country, will travel north on the Hudson River and arrive in Waterford around 6 p.m.
