From cheesy dance moves to carefree charm, Swifties are gushing over early signs that Travis Kelce was the one for Taylor Swift.
In a promo for his short-lived 2016 E! dating show "Catching Kelce," the now-35-year-old NFL player is seen goofing around, dancing and introducing himself as a "professional football player for the Kansas City Chiefs" before quipping, "It's game day, baby!" He then adds with a faux-suave delivery that he's "looking for love" before singing the Eddie Holman song "Hey there, lonely girl" with surprisingly good pitch. The series lasted for eight episodes.
Fans have resurfaced the clip, pointing to it as evidence that the lovebirds are the perfect match.
"Okay but when you put this up against the Shake it Off music video it proves they're perfect for each other," one fan wrote.
"Wow he can sing. Maybe he'll sing background in one of her songs," another fan wrote. "He's a goofball. He makes her laugh. He was on SNL. He's more fun than her previous guys. And he loves her more loudly."
Another person added: "This is why they work. He doesn't take himself too seriously like ALL of her other boyfriends. He's perfect for our girl!!!"
The couple's engagement – announced on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with a set of romantic photos shot about two weeks prior – has sent fans and the world into a frenzy, and marks a new chapter for the pop megastar known for songs about unrequited love and famous exes.
Swift, 35, has previously been romantically linked to Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy, Harry Styles, Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy. But her relationship with Kelce is the first that has led to an engagement.
