PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Over a dozen states, including Arizona, have won a lawsuit against the Trump administration, preserving funding for a federal agency that focuses on national service and volunteerism.
The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) agreed on Friday to release over $184 million in funding to AmeriCorps, according to a news release from Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. Last month, Mayes was among a coalition of attorneys general and governors who filed a lawsuit challenging OMB’s cuts to the program.
“This is a complete and total win over the Trump administration’s chaos and destruction that left Arizona communities scrambling to pick up the pieces and preserve programs that help Arizonans in need,” Mayes said in a statement. “I am proud to have sued to st
