Sam Meekings threw three touchdowns to lead Voorhees in a 39-16 season-opening road win over Orange, in Orange.

Meekings lit up the scoreboard by completing 14-of-21 passes for 231 yards. Rylan Benitez grabbed two of those scoring strikes and finished the day with seven receptions on 145 yards. Matteo Tramutola also caught a touchdown pass.

Tramutola, Lucas Benitez and Jaxon Garner each had one rushing touchdown, and Tramutola recorded 73 yards on the ground.

The Tornadoes (0-1) will again take their home field next Friday in a tilt against Irvington. The Vikings (1-0) will play the second of their three-game road stretch against Iselin Kennedy.
