Dear Care and Feeding,

My 11-year-old daughter has recently decided she doesn’t want the fine, blonde peach fuzz on her arms or face. I recently taught her to shave her legs and armpits, so I’m fine with her attending to her body hair however it’s comfortable for her.

I know people say it’s just a myth, but I still think that if she shaves it, it will become more obvious or feel more coarse as it regrows. She has incredibly sensitive skin, and waxing or epilating might cause her more irritation and ingrown hairs than for the average person.

What advice do you think I should give her? I don’t want her to end up with a rash or regrets.

Thank you!
